Gibbston Valley
Gibbston Valley Golf Club is New Zealand’s newest golf course, located in the heart of Central Otago’s wine region between Queenstown and Cromwell. The nine-hole layout sits among vineyards, the Kawarau River and surrounding mountain ranges, creating a setting that feels closely connected to the landscape.
Designed to be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities, the nine-hole course offers a relaxed and accessible experience. From the third green, the view runs back up Gibbston Valley towards the clubhouse. It gives a clear sense of the course’s position on the river terrace, framed by the steep valley walls.
The par-four fourth is a dogleg that reveals an approach which must carry one schist outcrop to a green bordered by a second, larger rock formation. A golf hole shaped entirely by the land it's nestled into.
